No building evaluation is complete without taking the roofing systems into consideration. SIMPLER Engineers and BLOX engineering routinely evaluate building roofing systems, and deck waterproofing systems as part of our Building Envelope Services. We provide roof consulting services, including existing roof system inspection and evaluation.

The life expectancy of roofing systems is a function of the existing system type, age and quality; the condition and existence of defects and the exposure to the elements including any storm events. We provide roofing condition assessments, taking into account all these factors and others such as added costs of insuring an aging roof system, and regulatory factors that come into play.

In the event that roof replacement  is required, we can provide complete project oversight from start to finish, including a project manual with all specifications pre-determined, for the contractors to provide competitive bids, on an apples-to-apples basis. This eliminates the guess work when a number of contractors provide proposals, each with a different roofing system.

In the event that repairs are required, a detailed list is drawn up with line items and corresponding quantities. These quantities are then used as the basis for a repair project manual with all specifications pre-determined, for the contractors to provide competitive bids for the repair project
